IMPORTANT: Ciena employees are welcome to attend any open seat technical training or certification course. The cost of the course is an “at cost” charge and reduced from the price as shown on the portal. Additionally, most cost centers are allocated budget for training that this will simply be cross charged against. Kindly request approval from your direct manager prior to registering for the class.

Registration instructions:
Once approval is obtained, please follow these steps.
- Log in to the Ciena learning site. This page appears:
- Click the Menu button in the red header.
- Then click “Upcoming Sessions”.
- Next, select an upcoming class that you would like to register for.
- Click the "Add to cart" button in the row of the desired course.
- Upon clicking the Add to cart button, the course will get added to the cart. (Shown below).
- Click the "Go to the cart" button and the Shopping Cart page will display. (Shown below).
- Click the "Proceed to checkout" button.
- Once clicked, next page will appear.
Note: As a Ciena employee Do Not Pay with credit card.
- Choose payment option “Other”.
- As soon as you click on “Other", user’s name and address details appear (shown below).
- Click the "Edit" button and add Ciena Hanover office address which is as below:

- Once address is updated, click the "Place Order" button and your order will be placed.
- The confirmation screen will display. (Shown below.)
- You should wait for 24-48 hours for our back-office support team to approve your enrollment.
- Once the process has been completed, it will show on your My Learning page in the Ciena Learning site.
- Click the box/tile on your My Learning page with the name of the course you want to attend.
- This will take you to the course page, and you can look for the desired event.
- Click the "Go to event" button. The Sign up window appears. (Shown below.)
- Check Self authorization box and then click the "Sign-up" button.
- Once it is clicked, you will get a notification message that request has been submitted (shown below).
- You will also receive an automated seminar booking confirmation email. (Sample shown below.)
Note: In case of Virtual class, you will get Webex invitation of the class 4-5 days prior to the class.
