Ciena Associate Certification Pre-assessment Process

Modified on Thu, 7 Aug at 7:22 AM

Ciena provides an Associate-level Pre-assessment option to all learners to check their readiness for attempting Ciena Associate-level certification exams. The Pre-assessment contains a set of 20 questions that the learner must answer and score 90% or above. If the learner passes the Associate-level pre-assessment on the first attempt, the learner can bypass the applicable Associate Level course and take the exam.

The Ciena Associate Certification Pre-assessment Process is as follows:

  1. The learner logs in to the Ciena Learning site and then enrolls in one (or both if desired) of these two pre-assessments:
  2. If the learner then takes the Associate level pre-assessment and scores 90% or above in their first attempt, they can go to the Certification exam, bypassing the course
  3. If the learner passes the Pre-assessment on the first attempt, they need to contact the Ciena Learning Support team by writing to us at support.learning@ciena.com and we will provide guidance on next steps.
  4. If the learner fails to pass, the learner will have the option to reset the attempt up to a maximum allowed limit.
  5. The learner has 5 attempts to pass the Associate level Certification Pre-Assessment.
    • Please note that the learner cannot bypass the certification course if they do not pass the pre-assessment on the first attempt. The remaining reset attempts are just for practice purposes.
    • The learner can connect with the support team by writing to us at support.learning@ciena.com in case further information is required.
