Downloading Ciena Books via EditionGaurd

In this article you will learn how to download a Ciena book from EditionGuard.

Please Note: You must have the ability to install software/applications on your device. This process includes installing the Adobe Digital Editions application on a device of your choice.

Click the link you received from Ciena learning. You will see this screen:

Follow the on-screen instructions:

Step 1: Create your free Adobe account.

• Clicking the link in the instructions will take you to Adobe: https://account.adobe.com/
• Where you can login (if you already have an account) or click the New user? Create an account link to create an account.

Step 2: Install Adobe Digital Editions on your device.

• Clicking the link in the instructions will take you to https://www.adobe.com/solutions/ebook/digital-editions/download.html
• Download the correct version for your device.
• Install Adobe Digital Editions by double-clicking the installer .exe file downloaded and following the prompts.

Step 3: Download the book access file by clicking the link in Step 3 (on screen).

Using your PDF book

After completing the previous steps:

• Open Adobe Digital Editions on your device.
• Go to your downloads folder, and double click the book file downloaded in step 3 of the previous process.

This window opens:

• Fill in the requested information and click the Authorize button.
• This screen appears:

• Click OK.
• A status screen shows the progress of downloading the book.
• The book opens in Adobe Digital Editions.

To access your book again at any time (during its 3-year availability):

• Open Adobe Digital Editions.
• Go to Bookshelves, and All Items.
• Double click the tile for the book.
• The book opens.

Downloading a book if you have already downloaded a Ciena book from EditionGuard in the past.

Click the link you received from Ciena learning. You will see this screen:

• You have already created your Adobe account and installed Adobe Digital Editions. Thus, you can  skip steps 1 and 2. 
• Go to step 3 and download your book access file.
• Go to your downloads location and double click the file:

The book will download and open in Adobe Digital Editions.

• Open Adobe Digital Editions.
• Go to Bookshelves, and All Items.
• Double click the tile for the book.
• The book opens.
